My name is Cameron Witt and I’m a concept artist from sunny North Texas. I have a strong background in environment and character concept art with industry experience building brilliant key art and branding campaigns for AAA games and films, as well as designing UI for mobile games. I’m looking for exciting opportunities to design and build worlds with a team that values community, teamwork and inclusivity.
As a member of the Concept Art team at Gearbox, I specialize in
character and environment concept art. Each day I work and communicate with Art Directors as well as level designers and character artists to deliver unique and exciting ideas that spark discussion and provide clear insights into where we want our designs to go. I am also experienced in working in Unreal and Blender to utilize cutting-edge workflows and stay up to date with new tools and innovations within the Industry.
After a summer internship, I progressed to full time Illustration at Pictureplane. Under the direction of Art Proulx, I worked on projects for a wide range of clients, from EA and Disney to Bethesda and Ubisoft. The work I did ranged from blue sky exploration to fully fleshed out illustrations. I utilized 2d and 3d skills to solve problems and deliver quality work on a daily basis.
At Zynga, I had the opportunity to develop skills in UI and icon design for mobile games. I worked under Art Director Peter Franco for Rising Tide games, a subcompany, to create background images and decals on slot machines for two complete mobile slot games released by Zynga.
